Our stores are the face of the Border, and are responsible for providing our customer shopping experience each and every time our customers enter our stores. We encourage diversity of thought and freedom of opinion within our teams – and our employees are as diverse as the range of products that we sell!
At Borders, we give you hand on skills and experience to help you plot your own career path. As you develop, you can apply for one of the many opportunities across stores of different size or sales volume or to help set up our new stores.
To compliment our succession planning system, we have a rotation program that coordinates moves across all areas of the stores, so that our employees become well rounded and understand the running the differences in each departments within the store before moving into a management, or more senior role. Our department managers are also rotated through Inventory, Merchandise and Customer Service to help develop and build their business knowledge.
