Support Office Operations

Our operations support roles provide supervision and support to all stores. The Operations team focus on providing coaching and guidance to our Store General Managers, who are responsible for managing our stores. Operations Support roles include Regional Management, Project Management and Store Administrative Support.

Support Office - Merchandising

The merchandise team is responsible for buying and planning the range and stock levels of our books, movies, music, stationary, calendars and magazines. Roles include Buyers and Assistant Buyers who work closely with our vendor partners to purchase products across a wide range of items that you see in our stores. Our analysts and planners work closely with the buyers, vendors and distribution centre to manage the product flow from purchase through the supply chain to our shelves.

Marketing Operations

Our marketing team focus on all areas of marketing to provide our customers with exciting and engaging experience and promotional campaigns. The Marketing department work in two teams – one focusing on advertising and promotions, the other focusing on customer relationships. Our advertising and promotions team work hard to plan marketing campaigns, advertising, visual merchandising and public relations. Our Customer Relationship Management team coordinate our web and on-line marketing campaigns, coupled with our customer loyalty programs.

Human Resources

Our Human Resources team is responsible for a variety of activities, focusing on attracting, retaining and developing industry best employees in character and competence, and providing support to all functions of the business. Areas of responsibility includes recruitment, learning and development, OH&S, Workplace Relations. Remuneration and benefits, including payroll, career management, succession planning and employee communication.

The Supply Chain function is responsible for managing the Flow of the Company’s inventory, including the receiving, processing, sorting and delivering of stock, and processing return products, as well as the logistics of the product from all over the world.

Finance

Our Finance function includes a team of accountants and accounts officers, who manage and report the financial results of all areas of the business. The Finance team also oversee the management of our store audit and loss prevention functions, and our IT requirements.

Property

Our Property department includes a team of both leasing and construction experts, who manage our portfolio of properties. This team work closely with major retail landlords and developers to secure new store sites, work with our demographers to analyse locations and negotiate leases. The property team coordinate the design, development and construction of the stores and fixtures and manage the facilities management and casual leasing requirements of the business.
